We were skeptical, given that "herbal extracts"
are alleged to cure everything from dandruff to decapitation.
So on successive nights we downed heroic amounts of beer,
wine and spirits to test the patch (and numb the crushing
pain of a particularly bearish stretch). After our nonpatch
control night, we woke up in a dry-mouthed stupor with
a headache like a plane crash. The next day, patch-fortified?
No cottonmouth, no headache. After an hour,
a shower and - what the hell - a celebratory glass of

A typical Thursday night out in NYC includes four hours
of socializing in bars and a least
8-10 vodka tonics. A typical Friday morning in NYC includes
